Bags of Rags for Cash
Primary pupils hauled in bags of rags for their textile recycling day on 20 May. As a member of the 'Rag Bag' Textile Recycling Scheme, Hutchesons' is helping raise awareness about Textile Recycling in the UK.

Hutchie Teddy Bears on City/Island Exchange
From January to April 2010, the three Primary 2 classes listened to and learned about the popular "Katie Morag" stories written by Mairi Hedderwick, culminating in an 'island afternoon' to which the pupils invited their grannies.

A-Head of Fashion
Primary pupils modelled their home-fashioned hats on 5 March for an EcoSchool show. Pupils designed their hats using recycled materials.

Sensational Swimmers
Primary pupils from Hutchesons' brought home seven Gold, two Silver and five Bronze medals from the Glasgow Schools Primary Swimming Finals at Whitehill Pool on 1 March. The Primary 7 Girls won every race available to them, including the Relay!

Primary Pupils rise to the Challenge of the Scots Verse and Music Competition
Although only two pupils left with the quaichs, the Scots Verse and Music Competition at Kingarth Street was an event for everyone.

P1 Pupils explore Scottish and Local Culture
All the Primary one classes enjoyed their January ceilidh, singing Scottish songs such, dancing a highland fling and reciting Scottish poems, while dressed in their tartan best.

Sending a Smile to India
Primary pupils at Kingarth Street have been supporting the Blue Peter Send a Smile appeal. They have collected and decorated more than 50 t-shirts and adapted them into medical gowns.
