Kart Club gets off to Flying Start!
After Hutchesons' won the British Schools Karting Championship in 2010 - the first Scottish school to win the award - S6 pupils David Wagner and Kerr McEwen formed a kart club for secondary pupils.

School Cross Country Championships and Charity Run 2010
As many as 932 pupils from Hutchesons' ran for Action for Children in the Annual Cross Country Championships and Charity runs which took place at Nether Pollok this week.

Three former pupils of Hutchesons' are currently in Delhi as part of Team Scotland's Hockey squad in the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Five Pupils in UK Schools Games
Five S6 pupils from Hutchesons' took part in the recent UK Schools Games which took place in and around Newcastle. Four of our pupils played in the Girls Hockey Squad and one represented the Scottish Schools Athletics team. All came home with bronze medal

Euan Malone, who's in S2 at Hutchesons', has had a successful year combining roles as a cox with sculling at U13/U14 level for Glasgow Schools, culminating in his selection as cox for the Scottish girls U18 Eight for the Home Countries International regat

Senior Athletics Finals
The 2010 Senior Athletics Finals on Monday 9 June were the first to take place in the Alix Jamieson Stadium at Beaton Road and were in the presence of former Olympian Alix Stevenson, née Jamieson (C1960).

A Runaway Success - Again!
Hutchesons' dominated the AVIVA Secondary Schools' Cross-Country Championships at Beach Park, Irvine, on 13 March, cementing the School's reputation for excellence in long-distance running. Primary 7 Girls also took Gold in the Primary Championships.
