HMIe Inspection

Hutchesons' Grammar School was praised in a report by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education. The report, which was published on 6 June 2006, commended the high standards of attainment throughout the School, but particularly the excellent results achieved by pupils in S5 and S6.

The report also praised the high standards of pupils' behaviour at Hutchesons' and the pupils' positive attitude to learning, as well as the School's strong and supportive partnership with parents and the outstanding range of activities available beyond the timetabled day.

Dr Ken Greig, whose leadership of Hutchesons' Grammar School was praised by parents and staff, was delighted with the report, saying:

Academic excellence is what we strive for here, and it is good to have that recognised. I am excited because I know the School can improve further.
