The Nitte-Hutchie Challenge is a joint effort between pupils at Hutchesons' and those in our partner school, Dr NSAM English Medium High School in Nitte, in southern India. The aim is to raise awareness about the importance of education in both communities and globally.
Pupils in Nitte are volunteering to spread the word in their area about the importance of education. They are also researching the reasons why some children there do not go to school. The two pupils who do most in these two tasks earn the chance to visit Hutchesons'. That is why the Challenge requires funds, effectively as a payment to the pupils for doing our job for us - a job we could not possibly have done ourselves.
