Open Morning 2015

This autumn Hutchesons' once again opened the School gates to offer visitors a comprehensive view of the Primary and Secondary Schools.

The Primary

The Kingarth Street Open Morning at the lively Primary School showcased the quality of the academic and co-curicular education at the School.

Visitors got a real taste of the depth and variety of subjects taught and the quality of teaching on offer.
This was especially valuable for the parents of young children contemplating that first day at primary. Pupils across the whole school took part and P7 pupils were competent and enthusiastic guides.

The Secondary

At the Secondary Open Morning the bright and bustling corridors at Beaton Road led visitors to a varied selection of venues and activities around the Southside campus.

The tour showcased the range of subjects and co-curricular opportunities and included musical performances, explosive science experiments and biology exploration, time to chat with teachers and pupils from S1- S6, home games and even a rocket launch.
There were opportunities to explore the Drama Studios, view a gallery of Art Show images and attend a Clubs and Societies fair. Visitors could also read about the School's history as a longstanding Glasgow institution and review our impressive academic success record.
The final stop at both Schools was for cake, coffee and a chat with the School's Rector, Deputes and admissions team.

Pupils of all ages once again proved to be a great credit to the school at these two events, with many visitors commenting on their enthusiasm and knowledge. Sincere thanks must go to all those who generously gave their time and energy to support the school.

Galleries of the both Open Mornings are available on the Hutchesons' Flickr site.
