Biology photography competition

The Biology Department is running a photography competition in parallel with the Royal Society of Biology's Annual Photography Competition.

The theme is Biology: from Big to Small. Use photography to explore interactions between the macro and the micro in biology – from tiny fish creating huge shoals, to algal blooms suffocating a river ecosystem, or microorganisms eating plastic waste in our oceans.

Images could also be captured by a microscope, from dispersing fungal spores to grains of sand.

The closing date is Friday August 26th. Images should be submitted to Mr Kerr and should be high resolution JPEGs or PNG files no larger than 10MB

There will be a prize for the best overall image and all entries will be entered into the Royal Society of Biology's national competition.
