Charity Art Exhibition

S2 pupil, Diya Verma, held a successful art exhibition during the summer holidays, raising money for the Shankar Foundation Charity.

Diya, a talented artist, displayed 60 paintings at the Telegana State Art Gallery whilst visiting India with her family and managed to raise 75,000 rupees (£935), with 50% of the money donated to charity.

In addition to her exhibition, Diya donated a further 19 paintings for auction.
The artwork included sketches, watercolours and acrylic paintings, all of which were successfully auctioned for a further sum of 36,000 Rupees (£450).

The auction was held by the Dr Raju.S.M Memorial Charitable Trust during the 25 year reunion of the Mysore Medical School 1992 batch.

The funds raised will be used to support the medical treatment of children from poor communities.
