Cloaks of Magnificence 2018

For the sixth year running primary pupils celebrated the Cloaks of Magnificence Ceremony at Kingarth Street.

In keeping with Hutchie tradition, four cloaks were draped over chairs on the stage beside an S6 House Captain as the children gathered in the hall.

Squirrel Hutchkins was piped in by Piper Nicholas  and handed over the briefcase with the results.

Each House Captain read the results and Bruce  (Argyll), Ewan (Lochiel), Lewis (for the 2nd time for Montrose) and Diya (Stuart) came forward to a resounding applause.

As the school stood and sang the Hutchie song, the S6s dressed the new winners in their cloaks.

Afterwards, the pupils and staff were treated to a dramatic drumming display by Duncan and Josh, who wowed the audience with their tricky drumstick work.

It was a wonderful day to see everyone looking so magnificent and proud, very well done to our winners!
