Creative Cushions

S3 Art pupils have been learning all about digital printing whilst creating fantastic cushions.

The crafty group explored lots of different printing techniques last term, working with cut paper, lino, marbling and prints.

The pupils have been working with local company, Glasgow and selected a range of themes for their cushions, including ‘Mid Century Madness’ and ‘Creepy Crawlies'.

Carrying out research beforehand, the pupils took inspiration from a range of pattern designers, such as Lucienne Day and Timorous Beasties.

The final designs were expertly drawn up, resulting in beautiful and very professional looking cushion covers.

The Art Department thanked Audrey, mother of S4 pupil Marcus, for her support and advice throughout the project.
