Outdoor challenges!

What a fantastic achievement by our DofE teams this summer! A total of 133 pupils successfully completed their final assessed expeditions - 39 at Gold level and 94 at Silver.

Here are some of their highlights:

  • 100km paddle by the Gold teams along the Great Glen from Fort William to Inverness.
  • Scaling passes of 2831 feet by a Silver walking team.
  • Venturing into the remote Highlands between Loch Ericht and Loch Laggan and having to navigate where there are no paths.
  • The Sailors found out about the Geography and History of the West of Scotland, along with the food and drink. Their voyage took in the history of the Vikingar in Largs, Tarbert Castle and the impact of the whisky industry on the Scottish economy whilst at Lochranza Distillery.

Extremely well done to all our participants and we look forward to you completing the remaining sections to gain your full Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
