Eight pupils and Mr Macleod have completed their training for their exhilarating 18 day trek to Everest Base Camp July 2-19, 2016.
Our first trip was to The Cobbler in the Arrochar Alps in August where the team showed good levels of fitness although not without a few blisters.
Our second trip was perfect preparation for the monsoon season with a downpour in Loch Ard forrest in Aberfoyle.
Two of the team have also undertaken a ‘Climb for Nepal Challenge’ to raise money for the Nepal Earthquake Victims. George Williams and Greg Finlay have been climbing the equivalent height of Everest Base Camp at 17,598 feet in the UK and have already given £1,322.67 to the Disasters Emergency Committee. Hopefully we’ll be posting stunning pictures of the world’s highest mountain shortly!
