Pupils Sophie Martin, Amy Richmond and Leena Hussain organised a very successful food bank promotion and collection for the Trussell Trust last Friday.
Sophie, Amy and Lena, all S6, chose to raise awareness of food banks and organised the food collection for the community project element of their Mark Scott Leadership for Life Award.
They hired a bus, booked a driver and visited the six participating schools to collect donations before delivering the items to the food bank.
Hutchesons' pupils also donated three big boxes filled with essential food items.
Liz Scott, from the Mark Scott Leadership for Life Award, praised the pupils’ efforts. She said: “It went very well – we had so much food that we had to do 2 trips in the van!”
