Grannies and grandpas were treated to an afternoon of entertainment on Friday whilst enjoying a lovely afternoon tea.
This half term, the work in P2 has had a real Scottish flavour and has seen the children learning traditional Scottish songs and language. In class, the children have been enjoying the ‘Katie Morag’ stories which have been used to explore island life and make comparisons to life in the big city of Glasgow.
The children enjoyed designing and making their own 3D models of an island, writing acrostic poems about the city of Glasgow, locating iconic Glasgow landmarks on a map and using construction toys to build their own version of a bridge across the Clyde and the Finnieston Crane.
The children were delighted to show off all of their hard work to their grannies and guests after the concert.
