Games pupils had a trip to remember, jetting off to Amsterdam for the Junior Hockey Tour.
49 pupils and teachers flew to Schiphol Airport on Friday, March 31 to learn all about hockey across the pond.
On arrival, the group enjoyed walking to the ‘I am Amsterdam’ sign for pictures, taking in the sights before making their way to Stayokay Hostel in the city centre.
On Saturday, teachers and pupils went on a mission to find the scariest rides together at the Efteling Theme Park. Despite the rain, lots of laughter was had on the bus back with Mr Fraser’s legendary quiz.
On Sunday, everyone grabbed their hockey sticks and dressed to impress with their tour kit and match strips for a number of great games.
Mrs Lang said: “This was an excellent tour with all of our pupils learning something new, we have forged a good bond with our Dutch friends and look forward to seeing them in Scotland soon."
Pupils won a match and then enjoyed watching the senior ladies' and mens' matches at the HGC hockey club.
And everyone had a pleasant surprise as former pupil, Anna McKenzie, who now plays for the AMVJ hockey club, was reunited with the group.
The trip was rounded off with a canal cruise, shopping and a tour dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe, with presentations made before making their way back home on Monday, April 3.
Mrs Lang added: “The behaviour of our pupils was exemplary, they are a credit to the school and we all had a very successful trip."
