Hutchie Ski Win

After a rigorous trial, 12 children in P5-7 were selected to race for Hutchie in the Scottish Schools Ski Association races at Bellahouston.

It was a bright, dry Autumnal afternoon and everyone skied cheerfully down race after race.

They were relay races where the four members of each team had to race the slalom course one after the other in a bid to beat their opposition - with 19 teams competing on the day.

Once the scores were added up, two of the Hutchie teams were unfortunately knocked out but one was still in the fight for Gold.

The standard was extremely high and the competition was fierce.

Out of the best of three races, Our Lady of the Missions Primary won Gold and our happy quad (Christopher, Logan, Beau and Murray) were awarded Silver and they will enjoy a day off school to compete in the finals against the two top finishers at al SSSA races at Snowfactor, Braehead.

Congratulations to our pupils who performed so well on the day!
