Very well done to P6W, who made history this term as the entire class managed to achieve their Gold Junior Duke Award.

For the first time in the ten years that the Junior Duke has been in existence at Kingarth Street, there has never been a class where every child has taken up the challenge and completed it - until now!

Back in September, P6W pupils decided to go for gold level and the entire class completed the challenge, giving themselves a deadline of the final long May weekend.

A countdown was kept on the board along with the tally of challenges left and there was great delight when they could see that they were going to succeed.

Great determination was shown, lots of bread was baked, children went on long walks after assessing the risks and packing a first aid bag, packed lunches were budgeted, stories were performed for the infants, lots of crochet and knitting was produced and music was played.

Very well done to all pupils who worked incredibly well together to gain this fantastic achievement.
