Only 3 more sleeps

The primary pupils are looking forward to Sports Day – and excitement is mounting as there are only three more sleeps until the big event.

We have enjoyed some glorious weather in the past fortnight and the the great news is the weather forecast for Saturday is good – dry and warm!

So it certainly looks like it shouldn't be a wet sports day like the last two years.

All the children are looking forward to taking part in a variety of novelty races like the egg and spoon race at the Alix Jamieson stadium. They will also compete in relay races.

The 57 Group will also be on hand to offer refreshments and this year volunteers will be manning sweetie, ice-cream, popcorn and drinks stands.

The P.E. department has also organised some fun stalls for the children - and perhaps some parents too. So please make sure you come along and have a go at beating the goalie or try your hand at the cocunut shy stall.

Reminder - could all pupils please meet class teachers in the sports hall, P1-P4 at 12:45 and P5-P7 at 2pm.

Good luck to all the children taking part and thank you to all the parents for supporting the event.
