P7 pupils had an unforgettable night on Thursday, as they enjoyed their first Christmas Dance held at Kingarth Street.
The children have been learning traditional Scottish dance during PE and had the opportunity to try out lots of different dances including Strip the Willow, the Gay Gordons and the Dashing White Sergeant.
Teachers and S6 prefects attended the event with Mr Russell calling all the dances. The Cairnhill Ceilidh Band led by Iain Buchannan provided the entertainment.
At the end of the evening, relatives and friends stood on the balcony as our Senior pupils dropped balloons during the final dance to ‘Auld Lang Syne’.
A big thank you to all who supervised the dance and to our pupils, who danced with lots of energy throughout the night.
Pictures from the dance can be seen here.
