Head Girl, Annie Gould and her younger brother, Owen, recently delivered a top performance at the Rotary Club of Glasgow’s annual Schools Public Speaking Competition.
The prestigious event saw 15 pupils from various schools across Glasgow speak for five minutes on the following choice of topics: Living with Social Media; What (or who) has influenced your life so far; Why are the youth of today no longer supporting clubs and associations?
Competing at the first heat, Annie spoke humorously about the influence of shopping on her life, while Owen's speech was a dramatic, entertaining imagining of a murder trial.
Both were a credit to themselves and the school and Owen was selected to progress to the final, which will be held at Hutchesons' on the evening of November 21st.
Very well done to our Hutchie siblings!
