Spring Concert - a real music mix

The Senior School musicians hit all the right notes and delighted the audience when they performed at the Spring Concert on Monday evening.

Guests enjoyed a musical mix with performances from the Ceilidh Band, the Jazz Band, the Sinfonia Strings and the Intermediate Wind Band.

The Ukulele Group, the Percussion Ensemble and the Guitar Ensemble also impressed the audience with their musical talent.

The vocal performers were on top form with the Vocal Ensemble performing ‘Crush, Crush, Crush’ while the Intermediate Choir raised the Assembly Hall roof with their rendition of ‘You Raise Me Up’.

The concert closed with a performance of ‘Beyond The Sea’ by the Jazz Band, Sinfonia Strings and the Senior Choir.

Head of Music (performance) Mr Walton said: "The pupils gave excellent performances on the night. Once again, the diversity of the programme, from jazz to American minimalism, reflective of the wide range of musical interests actively pursued by so many of our pupils, and the commitment they put into maintaining such a wide array of performing ensembles."
