Talking Points Visitor

Pupils enjoyed a fascinating Talking Points lecture from Acting Director of the Violence Reduction Unit Scotland, Will Linden.

Will spoke to the pupils about the importance of his role in helping families and individuals, specialising in behavioural and geographic analysis of violence.

Having worked with Police Scotland for over 13 years, he was appointed to the Unit in 2005 and has been involved in various projects including the development of the Homicide/Deaths Database, Community Initiative to Reduce Violence, CIRV, Injury Surveillance, Mentors in Violence Prevention and Employability/Desistence programmes.

The pupils enjoyed listening to Will speak about the importance of his job and had the opportunity to ask him lots of questions at the end.
