The Art Show 2016

Final preparations for this year’s senior Art Show are well under way and the talent on display is sure to impress so make sure you book a ticket for the opening night.

Yes it is that time of year again – the corridors and art department are being transformed into a gallery of outstanding work by S1-S6 pupils.

The School is delighted to welcome Dr Alistair Payne, Head of Fine Art at The Glasgow School of Art to open this year’s show on Thursday, June 9th at 6.15pm.

As ever, this is an opportunity to view the vibrant range of painting, design, jewellery, printmaking (and much more) on display. If you have a child whose artwork will be exhibited, or if you are simply an art lover, please contact Susan Breckenridge, Head of Art, at to confirm your attendance.

Don’t worry if you can’t make the opening night – the show runs from Friday, June 10th-17th in the Library Corridor and Art Department. It is open until 5.15pm each school day and in the evening from 7-9pm.

All visitors during the day should report to reception on arrival.

We do hope you will pop in to see the fantastic art adorning the walls.
