Following this, the S4 and S5 girls passed on books from our S1 English class to their pen pals in Nitte.
The group had a wonderful time dressing up for the farewell ceremony and there was lots of traditional Indian song and dance. The Hutchie girls performed too, singing ‘A Red, Red Rose’ ‘Caledonia’ and ‘Flower of Scotland’.
S4 pupil Shona also delivered a wonderful performance of ‘To a mouse’ by Robert Burns followed by all of the girls performing a ceilidh dance – Virginia reel.
Following this event, the group visited a Cashew factory and travelled to Mukka near Mangalore.
Today the group are visiting hospitals and the girls have the opportunity to shadow staff on work experience.
