Road Safety Workshop

P1 pupils had an informative talk from Fred, the lollipop man at Kingarth Street, who visited to talk about the importance of road safety.

He began the talk by explaining the reason behind wearing his yellow jacket with reflectors to ensure that in the morning or evening cars can see him.

The pupils then learned about the importance of waiting until a car stops before crossing the road and that you should always look left and right and listen very carefully.

The children practised being the lollipop person, pedestrians and cars and Fred showed them how to cross the road safely.

Everyone had a fantastic time and thanked Mr Crompton for his visit.
