S3 pupils achieved success in the British Physics Olympiad Year 10 Competition in May.

The new competition consists of two online tests, taken in schools under exam conditions.

Around 6400 candidates from approximately 140 schools across the UK took part in the competition, which is designed to challenge students by offering a range of Physics-related problems to solve.

Noah, Brodie, Harini, Iman, David, Stefan and Aaron achieved a Gold Award, placing them in the top 10% of pupils who took part.

Miriam and Aaliyah achieved a Silver Award and Cameron and Farwah achieved a Bronze Award.

Sifana and Iona received a certificate of participation.
