At Hutchesons’ Pre-School, children are able join after their 3rd birthday, although we recommend applying early as spaces fill up quickly.
Our Pre-School operates 50 weeks a year and is a funded provider of 1140 hours through local authorities.
We operate the following sessions:
08.35am – 12.00pm
08.35am – 15.00pm
Wraparound care is available from 3pm – 6pm and is charged at £19 per day if allocated funded hours have been used.
We offer 8am drop-off for £5.75 per day.
At Hutchesons’ we are strategically committed to providing a whole-school experience, with children now able to join us from the age of three and remain with us through to Sixth Year for the highest quality education.
We firmly believe that a successful and rewarding education is built on the foundations of a Hutchesons’ Primary Education where the emphasis is placed on developing excellent skills of numeracy and literacy in small classes, averaging 18, with a warm and welcoming environment. Our Pre-School experience ensures our children are prepared and ready for the challenges of Primary 1.
We will prioritise Pre-School applications who commit to attending Primary 1 at Hutchesons’ Grammar School, and/or current families with siblings in Primary and Secondary. Priority will also be given to Former Pupils applying for their child.
