Hutchesons’ welcomes visitors to the school throughout the year, but our Open Days offer an easy way to see what the school has to offer. Our pupil ambassadors are the best advocates of our school, and will be delighted to guide you and tell you all about life and learning at Hutchie.
Our main Open Day takes place in early November each year for both our Primary and Secondary School. We also hold Open Mornings in the Spring for families to enjoy a tour during a normal school day.
At each Open Day, you will receive a tour from our pupils and afterwards, there will be the opportunity for tea and coffee with our Senior Leadership Team and staff to answer any questions you may have, further details about What To Expect, can be found below.

For Primary 1 – 3 families, there will be an opportunity to tour our outdoor learning facilities at Hutchesons’ at Pollok Park (H@PP) during our Spring Open Mornings. Visitors are taken on an informal and informative pupil-led guided tour of the School, with ample opportunity to talk to current pupils, Prefects, Subject and Class teachers, members of our Senior Leadership Team, and our Rector.
Staff, including our Admissions Registrar, will be on hand to discuss all aspects of the admissions process, including Fees and Bursaries. Advice is offered on transition and you will see much evidence of our wonderful academic and co-curricular provision.
