Despite some stiff competition, the overall winning team was Nick Alexander (class of 2003), Chris Alexander (class of 2008), Allan Lapsley and Phil Reilly – they won the 1957 Group’s Claret Jug!
The Longest Drive competitions were won by James Hipperson (273 yards) and Lynda Pettitt (199 yards); while the Nearest the Pin competitions were won by Susan Levitus and Allan Craig.
Corum was title sponsor of the event, alongside sponsors Etellect Limited, Catriona Campbell-Mooney (class of 1989) and Intelligent Alternatives. A huge thank you goes to Aramark, who sponsored the Halfway House – a welcome pit stop for all the players!
On their return to the Clubhouse, players were treated to an evening meal and refreshments. Many stayed late into the evening, enjoying the hospitality at Whitecraigs Golf Club.
The day raised over £3,600 towards the 1957 Group’s £20,000 fundraising target for 2022. It was also a fantastic opportunity for current parents, staff members, former pupils and friends of the school to spend some time together.
The 1957 Group are grateful to the team at Whitecraigs Golf Club for making this such a successful event, and to all those who donated prizes to the raffle (including John Dewar & Sons Distillers, Whyte & Mackay, Cruickshank Opticians, David Stribling, Richard Gordon, PH Fitness and Douglas Ferrans).
Many thanks to Rob Lindblade Photography for so generously giving his time to capture the day.
We very much hope the golf day will become an annual fixture! If you would like to pre-register for next year or to help with sponsorship or prize donation, please email 1957@hutchesons.org
