P7 Adventure Week

Our Primary 7s made their way to Newlands Activity Centre last week for a fun-filled week of adventure.

The trip is a much-anticipated highlight of the year as pupils take part in several outdoor pursuits in the Lake District.

Starting with an afternoon of challenging teambuilding activities, pupils were placed in groups to try out activities which included kayaking, climbing, ghyll scrambling, mountain walking and even a high rope woodland experience.

Thankfully the weather held out, with only a little rain at night, but pupils had to work extremely hard on their communication, leadership, and independence skills throughout the week to complete their activities.

Their enthusiasm and resilience were incredible and many of the children pushed themselves well beyond their comfort zones and learned valuable lessons in teamwork and friendship.

It was a memorable week and great to have the residential experience back in the calendar.
