Struan’s Scotland Cap

Recent school-leaver and hockey player Struan Walker (C2020) made the most of his first Scotland cap – scoring 3 goals in 4 games.

After leaving Hutchesons’ in 2020, Struan moved over to play for crack German side Club An der Alster in Hamburg. The much higher standard is exactly what Struan needed and has given him a much better insight into what he needs to work on.

Within a year, he was asked into the Scotland Men’s squad and was named as a travelling reserve for the recent European Championships in Gnieznio, Poland. Due to injuries, Struan got his chance and he didn’t waste it. In 4 games, he scored 3 goals and helped Scotland to a silver medal overall.

We are sure that this is only the start for him and that there are many more caps and honours to come.
