Upstream Battle Marine Litter Art Competition

Following the Primary 6 litter pick at Troon beach, the pupils decided to raise awareness about litter in our oceans by entering the Upstream Battle Marine Litter Art Competition organised by Keep Scotland Beautiful.

They created a video of poems and photographs and the competition was judged by Atlantic Ocean rower, Elaine Hopley, Carol McArdle from West Partnership and Barry Fisher, the Chief Executive of Keep Scotland Beautiful.

The judges were so impressed by the entry that they invited representatives from the school to showcase it at an exhibition held at Glasgow Science Centre. Moyan Li and Lewis Proudfoot gave an excellent presentation about their competition entry and were awarded a Highly Commended certificate from the judges.
