P7 pupils have combined their photography and poetry reading skills to give an insight into their Covid-19 experience.

The pupils in P7S started a photography club just after the Easter holidays and it has proved extremely popular. The children take photos while out on their daily walks and post them on the class blog.

Recently, Mrs Struthers tasked the class with taking photos of how they saw Covid 19 and rather than display them as still photos she asked the class to read a section of the poem, The Great Realisation, by Thomas Roberts, which has been a viral hit during ‘lockdown’.

To help them prepare BBC presenter Clare Balding sent the class a personal video offering top tips for making voice-overs. The pupils took her advice on board and submitted very professionally sounding poetry readings.
