S2 and S3 mathematicians recently took part in an Annual Maths Competition known fondly as ‘Maths wi nae Borders’.
At the end of last term, pupils ‘scuttered aboot’ in teams to solve five difficult problems in both Dr Walker’s S1 and Dr Kilgour’s S2 classes.
One of the problems was posed in Scots and had to be answered in either Scots or Gaelic. Our pupils opted for Scots and had great fun inventing some interesting words in response to the problem.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part and were delighted to receive their certificates in the post.
Well done to all participants and we wish our pupils ‘guid luck fir’ next year’s competition!
