Primary 4 been studying Judaism as part of the R.E. curriculum and thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Garnethill Synagogue.
Mrs Haase pointed out key features of the synagogue and answered the children’s questions.
They were in awe of the Everlasting Light and amazed to learn that the Torah Scrolls do not contain vowels. The children had a chance to explore the synagogue and handle real artefacts.
They enjoyed standing on the Bimah and were lucky enough to see the Holy Ark open and the Torah Scrolls inside.
