We are delighted to announce that S5 Higher Business pupils Reuben, Aishan, Harry, and Charlie, won First Prize in the University of Strathclyde Diamond Anniversary Marketing Poster Competition.
Inspired by the University celebrating its Diamond Anniversary, the Marketing Department at the University of Strathclyde invited S5 and S6 pupils, who study Business throughout Glasgow, to take part in their competition. Pupils were tasked to present research and suggest activities to promote companies/brands who were also celebrating milestone anniversaries.
Today we welcomed Elizabeth McKee, and Jane Johnstone, from the University of Strathclyde’s Marketing Department, to present pupils with their trophy and prize.
Our pupils were praised for their “level of detail, research, use of graphics, colourful poster and creative campaign activities” used in their Nike ‘Still Doing It’ poster, which impressed the judges.
Reuben, Aishan, Harry, and Charlie said;
“The main idea of the ‘Still Doing It’ campaign was to remind people that Nike remains timeless and is consistent in everything it does since birth; from producing high quality products, to inspiring people from all backgrounds, and keeps on persevering, no matter the challenge.”
Business and Economics Teacher, Ms Moon, commented;
“I am thrilled for our pupils to win this award. Their commitment and dedication to Business in class has proven to reap success. With an eye-catching poster and clever hashtag campaign using celebrity endorsement, their strong business sense and clever use of graphics have been highly rewarded, and I am very proud.”
Congratulations to Reuben, Aishan, Harry, and Charlie, your continued efforts are commendable.
