All pupils are encouraged to pursue co-curricular interests as part of a balanced education. Natural aptitude and interests are spotted early in the school career and pupils are given a vast range of opportunities to develop these budding skills into valuable and accomplished talents and experiences.

A Group for Everyone

The annual guide to Hutchie Clubs & Societies (available to download at the bottom of this page) is packed with activities and opportunities.

Whether through participation in sport, the performing arts, community support, or involvement in a vast array of other activities such as Young Enterprise, Debating, Bridge, Photography, Film, Fairtrade, Eco Schools, the school magazine The Hutchesonian, or charity fundraising, there is a group for everyone and new clubs are created every year.

House System

Hutchesons’ Grammar School has a strong House System that has been used very successfully in the Primary School and by the Secondary’s PE Department for many years.

This session we are excited to announce the re-launch of the House System at the Secondary school. The new system will offer pupils and staff the opportunity to get involved in a much broader range of house activities encompassing all areas of the co-curriculum.
