Art Teacher Seminar

Hutchesons’ Art Department hosted a Junior and Secondary Art and Design seminar for specialists from 10 independent schools last month.

It was a great opportunity for colleagues to come together, share good practice and gain insights into different aspects of the creative curriculum from Primary stages right the way through to S6.

Carolyn Foran from Glasgow Museums gave a short presentation on opportunities available to extend learning beyond the classroom and to encourage schools to visit local museums and galleries in Glasgow.

A buffet lunch provided an invaluable opportunity for further networking and collaborative thinking in the school’s new S6 Bistro. Thanks to our catering partner Aramark for providing our guests with a lovely lunch.
