The team had prepared well and the boys were committed to their training sessions ahead of the final clash against their Aberdeen opponents and after an action-packed 70 mins they were victorious. They were in good spirits and mentally prepared for the task ahead. After a nervy first few minutes, it wasn’t long before their stick skills allowed the boys to take control of the game with S6’s Jamie outpacing the defence to make it 1-0. Just before half-time Hutchie were awarded a penalty stroke and Johnny (S6) stepped up to calmly slot it into the top corner.
It wasn’t all Hutchie and thankfully goalkeeper Archie (S5) was alert and made a few good saves. S6’s Leo grabbed a goal midway through the second half before Jamie got another to put the game beyond doubt.
Final score Hutchie 4-0 Robert Gordon’s College.
A tremendous effort and a well-deserved win.
