Eco-Committee Hedge Planting

The Eco-Committee received a second batch of 90 hedge whips from The Tree Council this week to plant at our H@PP site.

P7 pupils enjoyed getting to know some of the S1 Eco-Committee as they worked together to plant a further 10m of hedging, which will provide a useful screen next to the carpark and encourage biodiversity at this site.

The Eco-Committee and Pre-school pupils planted the first batch of hedging two months ago and were pleased to report that they are growing well.

Last year the Primary School was awarded the Young Tree Champion National Beacon School Status by The Tree Council, an organisation which promotes the importance of trees for our environment and our mental health.

It was great to see our young pupils being a force for nature.
