Hutchesons’ pupils are rightly celebrating significant levels of success – both collectively and individually – with impressive pass rates across the board including 95.5% at S5 Higher, equalling last year despite a reduction in the national pass rate.
Our pupils have demonstrated diligence, enthusiasm and rigour in the manner they approached their studies throughout the session and have achieved so impressively.
Our dedicated teachers, working in partnership with our parents, have provided the support and guidance, that has been vital in securing successful outcomes for our pupils, their children. We are very proud of them all.
S6 pupils are looking forward to the next step with 88% currently gaining their 1st choice university place. They are moving on to a wide number of UK based Universities including 47% who will be attending Russell Group institutions (such as Glasgow, Edinburgh, Oxford, LSE, Manchester and Warwick) and eight pupils who have accepted places at St Andrews University. S6 pupils will go on to study areas such as PPE, Engineering, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Architecture, Economics, Law, Dentistry, Primary Teaching, Vet Medicine, and Mathematics. Twenty pupils will successfully take up places in Medicine.
