Outdoor Play

Our Pre-Schoolers have been getting to grips with the latest addition to our outdoor space – a multi-activity climbing frame.

Our garden provides a variety of natural resources which promote problem solving, spontaneous play and outdoor fun. This term we introduced the climbing frame which offers children plentiful opportunities to climb in safe and supported environments, allowing them to learn how to assess and navigate risk and how to overcome it themselves.

With a climbing wall, rope wall, slide and monkey bars there is something for everyone. All that stretching, reaching and swinging, pulling and pushing with their limbs, is what teaches them awareness of their bodies and the space that they are in.
