They performed a dress rehearsal to the Kingarth Street community during a morning assembly and then delivered a show-stopping performance in the evening to family and friends.
Children performed songs, dances and delivered hilarious lines to tell the story of Roald Dahl’s version of Cinderella.
The twist in the tale came when Cinders ditched the prince and married a local jam maker.
Stomping ugly sisters, a ticking clock, human cleaning props, shimmering fairy dancers, dainty rats, elegant lords, ladies, and ball dancers, dashing courtiers and coachmen, hopeful townspeople and innocent Cinderella all appeared in the show.
Our very own cake factory was created as we baked, filled, iced and topped 480 Cinderella cupcakes which were sold in aid of the 2019/20 school charity, Give the Dog a Bone.
Very well done to our pupils who performed clearly and confidently at both performances.
