Three Little Pigs P4 Show

Parents and carers were welcomed into Kingarth Street for an evening performance of The Three Little Pigs.

Our P4 pupils had been working hard rehearsing their lines and songs and were eager to perform in front of family and friends after performing in front of their peers the previous morning for the dress rehearsal.

As the big bad wolf, aka Aayan, made his way through the audience to the stage, the show began.

Our performers did very well getting use to the mics and keeping in time to the music as Mr Corkey guided them on piano with Jude (S6) on drums. With many lines to remember along with numerous songs, there was a lot to learn. The acting was entertaining and wonderfully portrayed with a real sense of tension rising as the wolf huffed, puffed, and blew the houses down.

An adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl story, the P4 show had a gruesome twist with a not-so happy ending for all! The children took great delight in the shocked audience faces.

Pupils thoroughly enjoyed learning their lines and getting involved with costumes and scenery with a couple commenting:

“I was excited and happy to be cast in the role of Little Red Riding Hood. My parents said it was amazing!” (Rachel)

“Being a member of the tech crew is a responsible job because you create lots of props and scenery and on the night, we operated the lights, curtains, sound, and scene changes. It was great fun.” (Finlay)

Well done to everyone involved – the show was full of laughter and wicked enjoyment!
