After several weeks of rehearsing, pupils stepped onto the stage for their dress rehearsal in front of the whole Primary School. Cheered on by their peers, it went without a hitch and only fuelled the excitement for their performances at night. Held across two-nights, pupils took audiences on an exciting journey full of colour, jokes, and emotional rollercoasters.
Based on the beloved Charles Schulz comic strip; “Charlie Brown and the entire Peanuts bunch explore life’s great questions as they play baseball, struggle with homework, sing songs, swoon over their crushes, and celebrate the joy of friendship.”
The show had four sections to it, each with a different cast, 11 different scenes and 14 musical numbers and pupils had their work cut out for them with rehearsals and scenery – it was an exhilarating and energic performance by all.
P7 pupils Euan and Lily commented:
“We went full on for rehearsal week where we did rehearsals all day every day. The props team went full out on the sets, working tirelessly on the masterpiece that was the set and props. The tech team worked hard making sure that all the sound and lighting worked well. All that hard work paid off as we performed beautifully.”
They certainly did – it was a fantastic show from everyone involved, be it on stage, behind the scenes, to all the help in-between. Well done.
