Silver DofE Success

S5 and S6 pupils presented with their Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Certificate.

Congratulations to 53 of our pupils who were presented with their Silver DofE Award certificate by Louise Scott-McKie, DofE Scotland Operations Manager (Southwest), this week.

To achieve their award, pupils showed resilience, independence and teamwork, and Louise emphasised “what remarkable individuals they were as well as being part of unstoppable expedition teams!” She noted the wide variety of activities undertaken in the Skills section.

However, Louise was particularly impressed by the 3,198 hours of volunteering pupils had given back to the local community, which we are incredibly proud to share has a social value of £20,466.

A fabulous achievement and for all pupils, who will now have the opportunity to complete their DofE Gold Award.
