Congratulations to S3 pupil, Jim, who achieved the top award in the Junior Mathematics Challenge set by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust.

Jim was invited to take part in the Junior Mathematics Olympiad, a competition which is invitation only and is aimed at the best of those undertaking the Junior Challenge.

Jim’s success in the Olympiad was outstanding and he was awarded a bronze medal for his solutions to the problems set.

This is a great achievement for Jim and gives him an excellent foundation as he moves to the Intermediate level this year.
