European Hockey Success

Five Hutchesonians performed well at this summer’s Under 21 European Hockey Championships.

In the boy’s tournament, James and David Nairn (C2016 and C2018), Alasdair Richmond (2018) and Struan Walker (S6) all helped their team at an amazing 9-0 defeat of Russia in the final, with both David and Struan scoring.

In the girl’s competition, Jess Buchanan (C2019) managed to keep all the opponents at bay and help guide her team to a 4-1 victory over Italy in the final.

This now means that Scotland are competing against the best nations in the world at this age group at the next 2 European Championships.

Very well done to our FPs!
