The school is now closed to the vast majority of pupils. This is a partial closure and we remain open to younger pupils whose parents are key workers. Following updated Government advice S4-6 pupils will no longer be able to access school to complete SQA coursework and assignments. We are awaiting an update from the SQA but in the meantime we would ask that all S4-S6 do not attend school. For all pupils learning will continue online.
Hutchesons’ welcomes visitors to the School throughout the year, but our annual Open Mornings offer an easy way to see what the school has to offer as you are guided round by pupil ambassadors.
Open Morning means that you will be able to talk to all staff much more freely because they are not actively teaching. Our annual Open Mornings are held at the Primary School on the first Saturday in October and at the Secondary School on the first Saturday in November.
October 3rd 10am-12.30pm
November 7th 10am-12.30pm
Once a term we hold an Open Doors Event on a Wednesday morning from 9.30am-11am for families considering entry before August. The next event in on February 19th. Please complete the form to attend.
Visitors are taken on an informal and informative pupil-led guided tour of the School, with ample opportunity to talk to current pupils, Prefects, Subject and Class teachers and members of our Senior Management Team. The Rector will also give a short presentation.
Staff, including our Admissions Registrar Aileen Burns, will be on hand to discuss all aspects of the admissions process, including Fees and Bursaries. Advice is offered on transition, and the main entry points: Pre-School, P1, P4, P7 and S1. You will see much evidence of our wonderful academic and co-curricular provision.
