H@PP Launch

The Board of Governors is excited to share an exciting update which will bring immediate benefits for our current pupils and for the many children who join us in the future.

Hutchesons’ is committed to providing the best educational experience so we are delighted to announce Hutchesons’ at Pollok Park (H@PP), the newest facility for the school with a strong focus on outdoor learning.

H@PP will bring immediate benefits for teaching and learning across the whole school and has scope for even further development at the site. Amongst other things, the park setting will allow us to develop outdoor learning experiences in line with the Primary curriculum and it will also support us in expanding our Pre-School offering – for which applications have quadrupled since opening in 2019.

The facility includes a large indoor sports centre, pavilion building, and sports pitches – all in close proximity to our existing properties. When not in use by our pupils in evenings or at the weekends, the facility will be made available to local community organisations. This investment further fulfils our mission of offering the best learning environment in Scotland.

The Rector Colin Gambles said: “This investment further fulfils Hutchesons’ mission of offering the best learning environment in Scotland. We can’t wait to welcome our pupils and members of the local community to Hutchesons’ at Pollok Park when it is safe to do so.”
