Junior Road Safety Officers

Two of our Primary 7 pupils were invited to Glasgow City Chambers this week to attend their annual Junior Road Safety Officer event.

Our Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSO), Zoya and Lily, joined JRSOs from across the city to share ideas and learn about their important role in promoting road safety in their schools and local communities.

Our pupils had the opportunity to learn about organising campaigns, running competitions and delivering presentations to raise awareness of road safety issues. They came back full of ideas to keep our school community safe on the roads.

Zoya and Lily said:

“It was a fun afternoon – we collected leaflets with lots of information about competition ideas, prize packs for competition winners and we even met the Lord Provost! We can’t wait to organise our first competition!”

We are proud of their commitment to making our roads safer and look forward to seeing their initiatives in action.
